Yosemite students AND families: Read all info below and complete the pre-trip tasks by their deadlines to attend.

Trip Details:

Wednesday, Aug 20
Meet at 9 AM at Foothill College, Parking Lot #1.

Friday, Aug 22
Return estimated ~7 PM. We’ll encourage students to text you.

Family To-Do’s:

  • BEFORE FRI JUNE 20 @ 8am, complete these TWO forms...

  1. NatureBridge Official Student Registration-Medical Form (English)
Formulario de registro para los participantes de NatureBridge (Español)

    • GUARDIANS start the e-form form, alongside the student.

    • NatureBridge is very concerned about the health and safety of participants and they review health forms very carefully. We must also notify NatureBridge of any allergies or limitations before the trip. To ensure that your student will be able to participate, be sure that health info is accurate and that you pack any and all medications that you list on the form.

  2. Informed K12: MVLA Permission Form AND NatureBridge Volunteer Service Agreement

    • STUDENTS start the e-form with their info/signature in some of the fields— there aren’t many!
After, they will insert a guardian’s email and the form gets sent to the guardian to e-sign.

Home checks their email to open the form, completes their portions, and “Send[s] to the next approver”; the form will go to Middle College. Everything happens by e-form/email, so communicate together and check your work.

    • For the Volunteer Agreement, regardless of whether or not the student is under 18, populate the fields with Guardian contact info, the student's full name, and check boxes for #33 as they apply.

    • We are also aware that the Volunteer Form includes no details about NatureBridge “Volunteer Work”—- to clarify, NatureBridge hasn’t asked us to do volunteer work in recent years and hasn’t alluded to any particular service work for this trip. Service work is a part of NatureBridge’s broader program offerings, so the park service requires all NatureBridge participants (like us!) to complete these forms as a formality.

  • BEFORE FRI JUNE 20, pay the remainder of your $600.00 fee by cash or check.

Note: If you paid the initial $200 deposit, your remaining payment due is 400$.

How to Make a Cash or Check Payment

  • Allow for ample mail/arrival time.

  • Make checks payable to, “Foothill Middle College”

  • In the check “Info/For” line, write
    “[STUDENT NAME], Yosemite”.

  • EITHER:
    Send Cash/Checks to:
    Foothill Middle College
    12345 El Monte Road
    Los Altos Hills, CA 94022
    NOTE:  “Foothill Middle College”
must be included in the address.

    OR:
M-F mornings, bring payment in person to Gio Anselmo, our office manager
(Building 5700 at Foothill College, park in Lot 5).

  • ON WED AUGUST 6, 5:30 pm attend the mandatory Pre-Trip Zoom together.

  • Join the Meeting
    Meeting ID: 989 4286 7045
    Passcode: 649698

  • Meeting is for students AND guardians.
At the meeting, staff will review crucial trip information and packing tips.

Packing Reminders:

  • Money: Bring approx. $30.00 for lunch on the way there and dinner on the way home.
You may also bring some extra money for the Yosemite Valley gift shop.

  • Packing: We will offer helpful guidance at our Aug 6th virtual meeting.

    • Nature Bridge Packing List: Make adjustments to this list for summer.
Eg., you will not need snow pants and a parka, but you will need shorts, breathable layers, a fleece, and longer pants to wear at night.

    • Avoid bringing excessive or non-sealable food. NatureBridge often has us lock these items up in Bear Boxes, vs. keeping them in cabins.

  • Devices: We understand that students may need cellular devices for emergencies, these should be away while at camp (save for photography-only). Besides the fact that we want students to spend their time engaging with each other or enjoying the outdoors, service is spotty, students will not be able to conduct downloads, and we don’t have the means to support perpetual charging.

Health Precautions /NatureBridge Health & Safety Plan:

NatureBridge has protocols that we agree to abide by when we participate. In the past, students have taken a COVID-19 antigen test with us before we board the bus. Illness and exposures that happen shortly before or during the trip may jeopardize your student’s ability to participate or create great inconvenience for your family. If you are curious about NatureBridge’s health and safety policies for illness, you can peruse the pages below.

Emergency Contact Info:
